Open Door Day of IFSA LC UGM 2014

Open Door Day (ODD) is an annual event held by IFSA LC UGM. The goal of this event is to recruit new members of IFSA LC UGM through the introduction of IFSA to the new students of Faculty of Forestry. This year’s ODD was held on the 12th of October 2014.

The event was started with the greeting from IFSA LC UGM’s president, Adhitya Wisnu Pradana. After that, Agiel Prakoso, vice president of IFSA LC UGM and the newly-chosen LO of IFSA-FAO, came up to the front to explain about IFSA, starting from IFSA World, its events, IFSA LC UGM and its organizational structure, IFSA LC UGM activities, etc. The event was continued with the explanation about The 42nd IFSS in British Columbia by one of IFSA LC UGM’s delegates to the IFSS; Sekar Ayu Woro Yunita. Currently, Sekar is the Regional Representative of IFSA Asia-Pacific Region, which means she handles all IFSA’s LCs in Asia-Pacific. Her explanation was greeted with the audience’s enthusiasm and she was showered with questions. After she finished, the two wonderful MCs, Bayu Adhi Nugroho and Dini Novia Sabila, lead the audience to do a game. The goal of the game is to add the number which has been put under the chair to 100. The audience did the game cheerfully and a lot of laugh were heard that moment. The winners got various souvenirs from the delegates’ journey abroad. And then, the last session was the explanation about The 1st APRM meeting in South Korea. The explanation was done by Febe Margareta, the delegate of IFSA LC UGM to that meeting. Febe told her six-days experience in the meeting and also all of her activities during the meeting.

After all of the sessions finished, the event was closed with the participants and the commitees taking photos together. May the Open Door Day could give the visitors knowledge about IFSA and could make them interested to join IFSA LC UGM.
