“Express Your Favorite Story”

On May 17th, 2023, the Language Commission held the second English Club with the theme “Express Your Favorite Story”. The purpose of this English Club was to improve KM FKT students’ confidence in speaking English in public. This event was also intended to be a place where participants could express the story of their favorite books and movies and share them with others. All participants were asked to bring their favorite books and digital posters of their favorite movies.

This event contained two main sessions and one session for ice breaking. The first session was called “Little Book Talk”. In this session, some chosen participants reviewed their books and had some discussions regarding the story of the book with other participants. The next session was called “Little Spoiler, Please!” which was quite the same as the first session, but this time the participants reviewed their favorite movies. There were active interactions among participants, especially while they were discussing the stories. Everyone seemed really excited and enthusiastic. Between those sessions, there was an ice breaking session that was aimed to warm up the atmosphere and help everybody to know each other better. Despite some problems that happened during the event, it ran successfully and met all the expectations.
