On the 28th of June 2023, the Language Commission posted the first IFSA-TIONARY of this presidency. As the name implies, IFSA-TIONARY stands for IFSA and Dictionary has the goal of providing informative and varied content to readers related to English vocabulary. At this time, IFSA-TIONARY #1 comes with the theme Prefixes and Suffixes, which were packaged in a Netflix design palette. By using this design palette, we hope that the content will be more attractive and pleasing to the readers’ eyes. Each slide in the content contains a prefix or suffix with its example word. Examples of the use of vocabulary containing prefixes and suffixes are also displayed in sentence form accompanied by video or photo visualizations. For example, with a visualization of a celebrity drinking her water, there is a prefix ‘de’ in ‘dehydrated’ which can be used for the sentence ‘Heat waves in Asian countries cause people to get dehydrated easily’. At the end of the content, there was an interactive quiz where readers were expected to give their answers through the comments section. Since IFSA-TIONARY #1 had great success in achieving our audience target, the Language Commission plans to prepare another IFSA-TIONARY in the near future with more refreshing concepts and content.
