On Friday, 23rd of May 2025 Language Club of IFSA LC UGM held its second annual project named “Language Club 2025”, following its successful debut last year. This project is designed as a space for multilingual learning and cross-cultural exchange through collaboration. Language Club 2025 focused on five languages named English, French, Arabic, Japanese, and Korean with bringing together students from diverse backgrounds to learn, share, and have fun throughout the interactive activities. The main session started with Lingual Universe, where student representative from the Faculty of Cultural Science (FIB), Universitas Gadjah Mada, named HIMAHARA (Himpunan Mahasiswa Bahasa Korea), IMAJI (Ikatan Mahasiswa Jurusan Sastra Inggris), IKMASA (Ikatan Mahasiswa Sastra Arab), HMSP (Himpunan Mahasiswa Bahasa dan Sastra Prancis), dan HIMAJE (Himpunan Mahasiswa Bahasa dan Kebudayaan Jepang) shared their journey of studying languages at FIB. Instead of a typical presentation, this session became an engaging exploration, where participants gained deeper insights into what is studied in literature and discovered new terms that enriched their understanding. Next up was Cross the World Session, an engaging ice-breaking session where participants have to guess the cropped images shown on PowerPoint. As answers were revealed, the full images appeared along with their names in five languages. The energy in the room soared as participants raced to respond, turning the session into a competitive yet fun learning experience.

As the excitement built up, the Group Entertainment Session brought even more joy to the event. Each team presented something iconic from their assigned country. The English group performed a popular song “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran, the French group sang the Ratatouille song, the Arabic group unexpectedly brought the Alif Ba Ta song, the Japanese group recreated a trending TikTok dance, and the Korean group sang a popular children's song. Laughter and cheers filled the room as participants enjoyed the cultural performances. Wrapping up the day, the final session, Games Session: Recall, had everyone competing in a high-energy Quizizz race as a group, where teamwork and quick thinking were the key. The event concluded with awards for the most active participants, the winning game session team, and the best-dressed attendees.

With incredible enthusiasm and lively engagement, Language Club 2025 successfully achieved its goal of making language learning fun and interactive. This event proves that education goes beyond textbooks yet, it thrives through connections, experiences, and shared laughter.
